MHA is seeking an experienced and motivated Quality Specialist to join our Quality and Organizational Impact team.
The Quality Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining systems that support continuous quality improvement across the organization. This role will focus on designing and implementing auditing programs, reviewing audit systems, conducting feedback reviews, and assisting in implementing corrective actions. The Quality Specialist will work directly with our residential programs to perform chart reviews and compliance audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. This is not an administrative support role, but a hands-on position focused on quality assurance and compliance oversight.
This is a full-time, 100% on-site position, located in Western, MA. Applicants must be able to commute to the office 5 days a week and have the ability to travel to residential programs and conduct onsite audits. Applicants must also have a minimum of six months experience in quality assurance within healthcare, behavioral health, or human services setting. Applicants requiring relocation prior to starting will not be considered for candidacy at this time.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement quality measurement systems and auditing programs that ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Conduct audits of existing quality systems, assess their effectiveness, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Perform onsite audits at residential programs, reviewing charts and documentation for accuracy, compliance, and overall quality.
- Provide feedback to programs based on audit findings and assist in the implementation of corrective actions.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement.
- Analyze trends from quantitative and qualitative data to drive decision-making and enhance program quality.
- Collaborate with leadership to integrate quality improvement initiatives into daily operations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and ensure organizational compliance with standards from governing bodies such as the Department of Developmental Services (DDS), Department of Mental Health (DMH), and other relevant agencies.
- Support the preparation of documentation for licensing and regulatory audits.
- Act as a resource for programs, providing guidance on compliance, quality assurance processes, and best practices for maintaining high-quality services.
