Clinical Director

The Mental Health Association of Frederick County is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Clinical Director to lead our Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (OMHC). The Clinical Director will oversee the business functions, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and promote a culture of excellence in mental health care.

The Clinical Director is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and ensuring the continuity and supervision of high-quality evidence-based care. This includes developing and implementing clinical policies, procedures, and protocols in alignment with state and federal regulations. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with administrative staff to ensure effective clinic operations, managing clinical staff schedules, and leading recruitment, onboarding, and training efforts. Maintaining client confidentiality and ethical standards will be central to this role, along with a commitment to integrating innovative approaches into practice.

Qualified candidates will hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field, with current licensure in Maryland as a LCSW-C, LPC, LCPC, or equivalent. A minimum of 4 years of clinical experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role, is required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of OMHC operations, clinical best practices, and regulatory requirements, as well as excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Experience in data-driven decision-making and quality assurance is highly valued. EOE
