We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to oversee all kitchen operations at our 76-unit residential apartment building. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing nutritious and delicious meals to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meal Planning and Preparation: Plan, prepare, and cook balanced meals for our residents.
- Food Safety and Sanitation: Ensure strict adherence to all health department regulations and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Inventory Management: Control food and supply inventory to minimize waste and optimize costs.
- Staff Supervision: Oversee and train kitchen staff, including dishwashers.
- Purchasing: Order food and kitchen supplies.
- Facility Maintenance: Clean and maintain all kitchen and dining areas.
- Community Engagement: Participate in Association activities, planning and leading as assigned.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and Association policies.
- Recovery Model: Be a role model for recovery and wellness.
Qualifications:
- Food Handler's Permit: A current, valid Food Handler's Permit from the Tulsa City/County Health Department is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a full-service cook, including meal planning and preparation.
- Skills: Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and work a flexible schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in program housing or with individuals with mental illness.
