Cook II

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to oversee all kitchen operations at our 76-unit residential apartment building. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing nutritious and delicious meals to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meal Planning and Preparation: Plan, prepare, and cook balanced meals for our residents.
• Food Safety and Sanitation: Ensure strict adherence to all health department regulations and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Inventory Management: Control food and supply inventory to minimize waste and optimize costs.
• Staff Supervision: Oversee and train kitchen staff, including dishwashers.
• Purchasing: Order food and kitchen supplies.
• Facility Maintenance: Clean and maintain all kitchen and dining areas.
• Community Engagement: Participate in Association activities, planning and leading as assigned.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and Association policies.
• Recovery Model: Be a role model for recovery and wellness.

Qualifications:

• Food Handler's Permit: A current, valid Food Handler's Permit from the Tulsa City/County Health Department is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a full-service cook, including meal planning and preparation.
• Skills: Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and work a flexible schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in program housing or with individuals with mental illness.
