JOB SUMMARY: The Director Supportive Services is responsible for the oversight of MHAST supportive mental health programs, including the Supportive Crisis Residence, the Warm Line and Advocacy Program, and the Sunrise Wellness Center. The Director of Supportive Services is considered a senior level manager and has a leadership role in the organization. The Director of Supportive Services is responsible for strategic planning, program expansion, program evaluation, and regulatory compliance of these programs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Oversee agency programs supporting individuals with MH/SUD challenges
· Ensure OMH regulatory requirements are followed, as applicable for programs
· Ensure MHAST program policies and procedures are implemented and followed
· Supervise SWC Program, CR House Program Manager, and Warm Line and Advocacy Specialist, to include disciplinary action and performance evaluations
· Assist program managers with creating staffing schedules to meet the needs of the programs
· Support program managers with interviewing, hiring, and personnel management
· Oversee implementation of or revision of program policies and procedures
· Coordinate/assist with facilitating program staff meetings
· Assist program managers with quarterly/annual reporting requirements and review all reports prior to submission
· Participate in annual budget preparation, support program managers with budget planning, monitor program budgets
· Conduct compliance reviews of program documentation to ensure regulatory and billing requirements are met
· Conduct program audits for quality assurance and improvement purposes
· Oversee incident management practices, chair the Incident Review Committee
· Collaborate with representatives of programs, community organizations, healthcare systems, law enforcement, OMH, and other systems that will benefit MHAST, staff, and clients
· Networking, presentations, and education about MHAST programs in the community
· Attend program/agency staff meetings and agency required trainings
· Attend management and senior leadership meetings
· Attend board meetings, participate on board subcommittees as needed
· Support senior leadership with strategic planning and agency operations
· On call availability for program managers

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Master’s degree in social work
· Must hold a valid Social Worker License in NYS (LCSW preferred)
· Must have qualifications to obtain Broome County 9.45 Designee Status
· Three or more years of experience in program operations, non-profit/human service programs preferred
· Five or more years of management or supervisory experience
· Ability to work independently and efficiently, demonstrate complex problem-solving skills
· Strong judgment skills to make programmatic decisions in the best interest of MHAST
· Qualify for and obtain NYS Peer Specialist Certification within orientation period
· Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record to drive agency vehicles
· Successfully complete all required background and reference checks
· Complete all state/agency required trainings during orientation period, and annually, as required
· Maintain strict confidentiality
· Support the mission and vision of MHAST
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
· Knowledge of MH/SUD issues facing individuals in the community
· Ability to handle crisis situations, traumatic events, or sensitive circumstances
· Knowledge of community resources, services, and systems to support programmatic needs
· Understanding and sensitivity to support a diverse employee and client population (race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, etc.)
· Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems
· Knowledge of Medicaid/MCO billing
· Knowledge of OMH Regulations
· Knowledge of Incident Reporting Requirements and Regulations
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.)
· Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented
· Excellent communication skills (verbal, written)
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Office setting, residential/program center setting
· Some exposure to cleaners, chemicals is expected
· Physical requirements include walking, bending, standing, climbing stairs, and lifting (light/medium-up to 50 pounds)
· Travel required when providing transportation to clients, or to travel between MHAST locations
· May need to work flexible schedule, depending on staffing needs
· On call designation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
