MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Master’s Degree in Social Work and 6 years experience from an accredited college or university accompanied by appropriate NYS license
· Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record to drive agency vehicles
· Experience working with vulnerable populations in the areas of Mental Health, Substance Use, and/or Crisis Intervention
· Qualify for and obtain NYS Peer Specialist Certification within orientation period
Pay: From 68,000-70,000 per year

Schedule: Four 10-hour days: Sunday-Wedensday, 10am to 8pm
Clinical Supervision available by LCSW-R
JOB SUMMARY:
The Mobile Crisis Social Worker is a NYS licensed professional whose role on the team is to assess and de-escalate individuals in a mental health crisis.
The Mobile Crisis Team responds to calls requesting support for individuals of any age experiencing a mental health crisis in their home or community. Crisis calls may originate from law enforcement, families, school systems, community agencies, or other organizations.
The Mobile Clinician provides advocacy and resources to individuals and their families and is responsible for completing accurate documentation of services, and ensuring follow-up support is provided. The Mobile Clinician role requires a compassionate and person-centered approach with an emphasis on engagement, symptom reduction, and stabilization. Strong clinical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively are vital to ensure appropriate services are provided to clients and their families.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Community/Field Work setting (schools, homes, business, churches, shelters, streets, etc.) and Office setting
· Exposure to home environments that may be in poor condition
· Physical requirements include walking, bending, standing, climbing stairs, and lifting (light/medium-up to 50 pounds)
· Travel required when providing transportation to clients, or to travel between MHAST locations
· Use/wear of ballistic vest (for individual safety)
· May need to work flexible schedule, depending on staffing needs
· Community/Field Work (40%)
· Follow-Up Support and Community Engagement (40%)
· Other (20%)
