Role Summary
The Mental Health Service Manager plays a critical role in supporting individuals with severe and persistent mental illness within our Partial Care Program. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality services, collaborating closely with staff, supervisors, and members.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the daily implementation of the Partial Care Program, fostering a collaborative environment among staff, supervisors, and members.
- Develop and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including therapy, coping, activity, and psycho-educational groups, to promote social skills and relapse prevention.
- Facilitate effective communication among members, staff, and supervisors to achieve shared psycho-social goals and tasks of the unit.
- Ensure the safe and respectful management of the milieu and participate in unit trips, including van driving.
- Provide comprehensive case management services, coordinating medical, psychiatric, financial, residential, social, and legal needs of assigned caseloads.
- Regularly engage with members to establish and monitor progress towards their goals, offering crisis intervention as needed.
- Promote access to medical records, entitlements, and other essential services, leveraging community resources and partnerships.
- Foster positive relationships with family, boarding home staff, and local agencies serving the elderly.
- Engage in regular consultation with Prospect House program psychiatrists and coordinate transportation services as necessary.
- Contribute to program development, service expansion, supply selection, and research efforts, working closely with the Program Director and Supervisor.
- Participate in ongoing education and training, maintaining high productivity levels in direct service provision.
