MHC has an immediate full-time opening (Monday - Friday, with varying hours between 8:00 am - 6:00 pm) for an IT Desktop Support Specialist position. This position will require travel to our various locations (Waterbury, Bridgeport, Stamford, Torrington, Danbury, West Hartford, and Farmington) but will be based in the Waterbury area. The IT Desktop Support Specialist builds, configures, installs, troubleshoots and repairs computer hardware and software applications. Works with tools to track, schedule, complete, and document jobs. The IT Desktop Support Specialist is highly motivated, eager to learn, detail-oriented, can process large volumes of data, and performs well under pressure.
Pay Rate: $24.00/hour. MHC offers a competitive benefits package which includes:

Requirements
The IT Desktop Support Specialist Position Responsibilities Include:
- Provides day-to-day technical support to local and remote employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware.
- Installs, configures and maintains computer systems and multiple application software.
- Troubleshoots and resolves computer problems.
- Handles helpdesk ticketing system to open, update and close tickets in a timely and complete manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service, communication and organizational skills.
- Communicates effectively to end users to identify response time, resolution and conveys necessary knowledge for corrective actions.
- Assists in the operation and support of other end user technology such as phones, voicemail, faxing, copiers, teleconferencing, and others.
- Ability to work under general supervision.
- Required to travel to all MHC locations on a routine basis. Must be willing and able to drive a personal vehicle locally and within the state in support of technology needs at all program locations statewide.
- Interact in accordance with MHC’s values with employees, contractors, vendors, and any other people or organizations critical to the Organization’s success.
- Attend and complete all required development and training opportunities as assigned.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and A and Network certificates highly preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a desktop/laptop/mobile support technician.
- Knowledge of major Windows OS, Microsoft Office 2016, Office 365, and SharePoint.
- Experience with installation and configuration of iPads iOS.
- Experience with basic WIN 10 network troubleshooting tools.
- Hardware installation and repair experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid CT driver's license and auto registration and insurance.
