The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description Cleaners perform a variety of tasks involving medium to heavy physical effort associated with the cleaning and caring for assigned areas and ensuring a safe, clean, and hygienic environment is maintained. Primarily assigned to patient care areas, Cleaners wash walls, bathrooms, dining rooms, floors, corridors, stairs, and stairwells; clean spilled bodily fluids and collect and transport waste within specific guidelines associated with infection control and safety; clean and polish furniture; and move furniture in preparation for cleaning. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
