Duties Description Hutchings Psychiatric Center is currently recruiting a Nutrition Services Administrator 2 to oversee, manage, and administer their food, nutrition, and dietetic programs. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.As a Nutrition Services Administrator 2, you will oversee the Nutrition Services Department to ensure the nutritional health and well-being of individuals with mental illness including: • Developing, reviewing, implementing, and monitoring nutrition program policies and procedures.• Planning and directing food preparation and service.• Conducts and supervises the inspection of food preparation, service areas, and meals.• Supervising dietitians and other food and nutrition staff.

Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Nutrition Services Administrator 2 if they have: • Current registration with the Commission on Dietetics Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or certification in Dietetics-Nutrition by the New York State Education Department, and• 3 years post-registration/certification professional administrative experience in a food or nutrition program, 2 years of which much have been at a supervisory level.ORCandidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they are reachable on the current Nutrition Services Administrator 2 eligible list.ORCandidates within State Service can be considered transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.ORIn accordance with Section 52.7 of the Civil Service Law, this notice advises all employees of the Office of Mental Health of our intention to conduct a non-competitive promotion examination for the position of Nutrition Services Administrator 2 at Hutchings Psychiatric Center.
