Duties Description The Office of Mental Health (OMH) is recruiting to fill an Office Assistant 1, Grade 6, position in the Office of Financial Management, Consolidated Business Office (CBO). The Consolidated Business Office is responsible for consolidated administrative, cash management, vouchering, and payroll services for 24 OMH psychiatric facilities, Cook Chill Production Center and Central Office. The incumbents of these positions will work within the CBO and will be responsible for ensuring all facilities receive the necessary business management services to support campus operations and patient activities. Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Answer the Unit’s main phone line and forward calls to appropriate staff members.Open, date stamp, and distribute time-sensitive mail, both paper and electronic. Perform data entry of miscellaneous payments.Create, organize and maintain paper and electronic files.Scan, fax and/or photocopy documents.Prepare routine correspondence as needed.Perform other clerical duties as necessary and serve as back-up for other clerical staff.

Specific scheduled hours and telecommuting availability for this position will be discussed during the interview process.
