Mental Health Resources, Inc. is looking for a full-time person to provide services to persons diagnosed with a serious and persistent mental illness. This service is provided in a day program setting, assisting the person with mental illness to adjust to community living as well as coordinating social and recreational activities. Hours are 8am - 4pm, Monday-Friday.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drives van to transport consumers to and from the program and community activities
- Prepares, plan and assists in the preparation of meals
- Facilitates groups as scheduled
- Treats the individual with dignity and respect
- Attends and participates in team and employee meetings
- Follow procedures for crisis intervention and will seek team/QMHP for consultation/resolution
- Assists with program development, i.e. creating new groups, coordinating special events and outings.
- Assists in development of psycho-educational groups to assist clients in socialization, health management, and development of adult daily living skills.
- Assists in outreach services to clients who have been absent from day program, inviting them to come back.
- Helps clients network with other clinical and support services as needed.
- Effective in crisis situations, locating and coordinating services to resolve client crisis.
- Provides direction and resources needed by clients to help them grow toward empowerment.
- Insures that all clients know their rights and responsibilities and are treated with dignity and respect.
- Enjoys working with groups of people, personable, and outgoing.
- Encourages and assists clients in the development of community integration skills through management of community activities.
- Proficient in documentation and Microsoft Office Suite
- Maintain required CEU’s, CPR and first aid, Class E drivers license
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent education and experience preferred
PAY:
$17 - $19 Hourly
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
