Master's and Bachelor's level students seeking to gain experience in behavioral health while meeting educational requirements.
The Internship position is an unpaid position. The Interns will be asked to engage with a diverse population of individuals, in information gathering, brief screenings, session observations, co-leading sessions, developing and teaching psychosocial classes and interventions, developing treatment plans, and safety plans, and delivering therapy interventions while under the supervision of a licensed therapist.

- Maintain HIPAA and client confidentiality at all times.
- Regular and consistent attendance for the assigned work schedule is essential.
- Gathering information via interviews with clients that will be used for the development of treatment goals and interventions.
- Clearly outline client goals in a treatment plan.
- Coordinate care for clients with other programs as needed.
- Will utilize Treat First, brief assessment, and referrals, as needed for clients that present with acute needs for social/community, supports that can be accessed in an outpatient setting
- Provides crisis interventions and consults with members of the clinical team to provide the best care to clients. Utilize verbal de-escalation and crisis protocol for emergency services should the need arise.
- Conducts interviews, and completes crisis assessments with appropriate supervision.
- Consults with members of the clinical team and various departments to ensure the best treatment for the clients served.
- Generates documentation for external referral sources as needed and requested.
- Creates accurate documentation for service provided in accordance with current MAD standards.
- Meets weekly or more often to staff active client care, interventions used, and to develop professional skills.
- Maintains competency in evidence-based practices, skills, and interventions via conferences or webinars and attending training for certification.
