Summary:
The Transportation Associate is responsible for delivering transportation services to our clients, ensuring safe, timely, and efficient travel to and from the facility for medical appointments, planned outings, and day program activities. The driver will supervise clients during transit, promoting their well-being and satisfaction and providing support with daily living activities.
Responsibilities:
- Grocery shopping for four Adult Residential Facility houses.
- Handle errands and other assignments that require driving.
- Provide and coordinate transportation and client support at medical appointments and when in the community including scheduled resident outings.
- Provides logs of daily activities and Medi-Cal billing documentation.
- Report to the Administrator or Director of Residential Services.
- Work as a care assistant during shifts as needed and when time permits.
- Function as a team, assisting coworkers as the need arises.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 21 years or older
- Basic First Aid certification is required and provided by employer.
- Valid CA driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Required Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively with the clients, staff and supervisors.
- Capability to read, understand and carry out service orders for clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in healthcare, mental health, or social services.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and professionalism.
Must provide valid proof of vaccination against COVID-19
Salary: $23.50 per hour
