Responsibilities
- Advertise vacant properties and follow up all leads via telephone and digital platforms in a timely manner
- Schedule and show properties to prospective tenants and inform them of all available amenities and expectations for security deposits and procedures for rent payments
- Hold open houses
- Qualify prospective tenants using background checks, including reference letters, rental history, income verification, and criminal record reviews
- Dispatch daily work orders and communicate with maintenance department
- Respond to tenant inquiries in a supportive and understanding manner
- Maintain deep knowledge of the local market and housing trends
- Negotiate leasing terms and close deals
- Prepare rental leases and annual lease renewals
- Inspect properties on a regular basis and schedule necessary maintenance/repairs
- Provide a weekly status report on the condition of the property and any issues that arise to supervisor
- Provide administrative support and other duties as assigned
- Follow all Equal Housing Opportunity guidelines, local laws, and company policies
- Proven working experience in property management and/or leasing, 2 years minimum
- High school diploma/GED required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Time management skills with ability to handle multiple timelines, deadlines and schedules
- Deep
- Up-to-date on the local real estate market and solid understanding of real estate law and leasing practices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and sales skills
- Experience with property management software preferred
- Experience with Excel, Word, Outlook
