Summary
We’re looking to add a Catering Events Coordinator to our team! This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position. The ideal candidate loves food and working with people to plan events. They are organized and detail-oriented with exceptional communication skills. Regular hours are Monday – Friday, 9am – 4pm, with the possibility of some weekends, early mornings, and evenings.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Must be willing to work 9:00am – 4:00pm, Monday – Friday, and occasionally early mornings, weekends and evenings
- Prepares proposals and event worksheets
- Coordinates with clients and vendors via phone and email to answer inquiries, schedule events, and update event details
- Follows up with clients regarding payments and receipts
- Assists with preparing for events including making labels and signage, ordering event supplies, and packing
- Supports owner, helping to manage email and schedule
- Assists with marketing and social media posts
Qualifications and Skills
- Events and/or hospitality experience required
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and willing to learn other computer software
- Excellent organizational skills with strong written and verbal skills, outstanding interpersonal skills
- Ability to be flexible with changing priorities
- Proficient with social media including Hootsuite, Facebook, Instagram
- Must have valid driver’s license and be able to lift 25lbs
