Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Orange County, California
Hybrid position: TBD
Full-Time position: Some travel may be required
Responsibilities:
Business Development (70%):
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy focused on acquiring large-scale construction projects.
- Identify new market opportunities and industry trends to expand the company’s portfolio. . Work closely with the Business Development team to support as requested.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, including developers, architects, and government agencies
- Act as the primary point of contact for major clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met. . Conduct thorough market research to identify potential projects and partners. . Analyze competitor activities and industry developments to adjust business strategies accordingly · Tracks and monitors the status of all upcoming bid proposals and future project opportunities
- Assist with drafting business plans, sales pitches, presentations, reference material, and other documents as required.
- Consistently updating, maintaining, and organizing the business development materials as needed. Office Administration (30%):
- Overall managing and controlling office operation following the company protocols. · Prepare a system to manage the office and provide feedback to colleagues as needed. · Support in Project Administration as requested.
- Manage agendas/travel arrangements/appointments etc. for the upper management. · Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.).
- Manage/Communicate with other vendors for office operations as required. · Track stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary.
- Control and ensure a nice, neat, clean and professional environment in the office.
- Maintaining general office files, including job files, vendor files, and other files related to the company’s operations.
- Assist colleagues whenever necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong network of industry contacts and a deep understanding of the commercial and residential construction markets.
- Proven experience as an business development or relevant role in Construction/MEP design (3 years or more).
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent organizational, planning and writing skills.
- Strong organization and project management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint) and relevant software.
