MEPPI's Critical Power Solutions Division (CPSD) is seeking an experienced Projects Management Section Manager to oversee the complete lifecycle of project management activities, from initial inquiry to customer turnover. In this pivotal role, you'll lead a team of project management professionals, ensuring successful execution of bids, orders, deliveries, and field service support while driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do:

Lead and Oversee Project Management Activities:

• Direct and manage the project lifecycle, including contract negotiation, project scope, scheduling, invoicing, budgeting, and maintaining overall project quality and margins from inquiry through customer turnover.

• Provide strategic leadership to the project management team by developing processes that align with Company and division goals.

• Guide Project Managers and Project Application Engineers in negotiations regarding price, delivery, and other key project terms.

Develop and Manage Teams:

• Lead and motivate project management staff according to Company policies and procedures, ensuring achievement of division objectives.

• Foster employee development through training, cross-training, and continuing education opportunities.

• Conduct performance reviews and provide input for salary decisions to support career growth and operational effectiveness.

Drive Project Planning and Execution:

• Oversee the creation of detailed project plans, including defining goals, strategy, staffing, schedules, risk identification, contingency planning, cost controls, and resource allocation.

• Monitor overall project progress and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project commitments and customer expectations are met.

• Manage insurance issues, warranty claims, and service matters through project completion and customer turnover.

Ensure Communication and Reporting:

• Oversee the preparation of project status reports, ensuring management, customers, and stakeholders are informed of project progress and related issues.

• Provide advice and resolve project-related challenges through direct engagement with project personnel.

• Ensure effective site management coverage utilizing third-party and internal resources as needed.

Financial and Operational Oversight:

• Prepare and manage the operating budget with a focus on maintaining financial clearances and achieving project profitability.

• Promote the goals and positive image of CPSD through professional interactions with internal departments, external vendors, customers, and MELCO locations.

What You Bring:

• Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering or business with at least 7 years of experience in project management, including 3 years in a leadership role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and motivate teams in a dynamic environment, fostering collaboration and achieving shared objectives.

• Communication: Advanced verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with technical teams, vendors, and customers.

• Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to navigate complex project challenges.

• Cultural Competence: Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments with a particular emphasis on Japanese business culture.

• Technical Proficiency: Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Project.
