Primary Function :
The Production Assistant position is to assist the production manager and production staff with operations, by entering and maintaining data, maintaining and supplying forms and labels for production and other tasks related to fulfilling orders to assist the production process.
This role is a full-time, onsite position.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist with closing production batch tickets
- Assist Purchasing with completing cycle counting
- Run labels for production
- Assist with executing production schedule (as needed)
- Assist production with plant safety protocols, cleanliness and organization
- Assist with operational reports
- Coordinate with operations to know when orders are ready to ship.
- Prepare BOL's for inbound and outbound shipments
- Prepare Packing slips for shipment
- Prepare customs paperwork for international shipments
- Schedule shipments with carriers
- Submit requests for supplies orders for production - PPE, tools, etc. (Purchasing to issue PO)
- Update Customer Service (or customers) with tracking information and send any additional paperwork
- Point of contact for uniform company
- Assist Customer Service as needed (serve as backup)
- Assist with providing monthly numbers on shipments, returns, customer complaints and missed shipments
- Support QC & Customer Service on product returns and any special customer needs
- Experience in collaborating with multiple organizations and multiple stakeholders to drive common solutions
- Demonstrated record of successful time and project management skills; ability to manage and execute multiple projects
- Enthusiastic, self-starter, energetic, organized, and service minded. Able to cope with a wide range of situations, along with abnormal operating hours.
