What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Professional position at Meraki Health?
Meraki Health is seeking an experienced Mental Health Professional to provide counseling to children and families within the private outpatient setting. This contract would provide a minimum of 10 hours per week of work with flexible scheduling. Paperwork is minimal and the job is rewarding! This is a unique opportunity to do cutting edge work with dedicated support staff including SLP, OT, PT, BT, ED and 1:1 Therapy Technicians who understand and support developmental language, sensory processing strategies, emotional development, and how they impact children with special needs. We believe that the “behaviors” others see as impacting education for these students are a result of their challenges with comprehension and communication, challenges in processing sensory information from their environment and staying regulated around a broad range of emotions. With our interpretation of their intentions, language-based strategies, emotional and sensory support, and an individualized, multi-sensory, engaging and meaningful curriculum, our kids are limitless!
Required Licensure:
This position may be filled by someone who is licensed in one of the following:
-LCPC -LCSW -PsyD
Preferred Skills and Experience:
This position is appropriate for someone who can relate and engage with children through play-based intervention. Willingness to communicate and coach parents using evidence-based treatment strategies. Priority will be given to those specializing in play-based interventions and trauma-informed therapy. Candidates must be willing to engage parents and siblings in treatment and to collaborate with a multidisciplinary staff. This is not a remote position, however, occasional teletherapy may be utilized.
Your Role on our Team:
Your role would be to assist a child in the expansion of their emotional range by facilitating communication and regulation of their feelings. This would be done in collaboration with other clinical staff that address communication and regulation.
