Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Vice President - International Trust Administration to lead the management of a diverse portfolio of trusts and fiduciary structures spanning key regions including the Cayman Islands, UAE, Europe, and LATAM. Based in New York or Las Vegas, this leadership role will focus on delivering exceptional fiduciary services, ensuring regulatory compliance across jurisdictions, and building strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs), and institutional clients.
The SVP will also be responsible for developing and managing a high-performing team of trust professionals, driving business growth, and providing strategic guidance on complex trust structures and wealth management solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio & Client Relationship Management
- Oversee the administration of a global portfolio of complex trusts, foundations, and fiduciary structures, ensuring adherence to client needs and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering bespoke solutions for estate planning, succession planning, and wealth preservation.
- Collaborate with external advisors, including legal counsel, tax specialists, and financial planners, to meet client objectives.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with HNWIs, UHNWIs, family offices, and institutional clients.
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
- Ensure full compliance with local, regional, and international regulatory frameworks, including AML, FATCA, CRS, Economic Substance, and Beneficial Ownership requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory filings across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Stay updated on evolving fiduciary regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and inform clients of critical developments.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor a global team of trust administrators, ensuring they are equipped to handle the complexities of international trust administration.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior team members, fostering professional growth and expertise within the team.
- Promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation across the trust administration practice.
Business Development & Strategy
- Drive the growth of the international trust administration practice by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in key markets.
- Work closely with senior leadership to develop and execute strategies for expanding the firm’s fiduciary services globally.
- Represent the organization at industry events and conferences, enhancing the firm’s reputation and building its network in the international fiduciary community.
Risk Management & Problem Resolution
- Manage and resolve complex client issues related to trust administration, providing strategic solutions tailored to each unique situation.
- Conduct periodic reviews of trust structures to mitigate risks and ensure they remain aligned with legal and fiduciary standards.
- Serve as the escalation point for high-risk or high-value client concerns, demonstrating strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Qualifications:
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field (required).
- Advanced certifications such as STEP, TEP, or CTFA are highly preferred.
- A Master’s degree or LLM in Taxation, Estate Planning, or Business is a plus.
Experience
- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in trust administration, fiduciary services, or wealth management, with significant experience in international markets.
- Proven expertise in managing complex trust structures across jurisdictions including the Cayman Islands, UAE, Europe, and LATAM.
- Demonstrated success in managing HNW and UHNW client relationships and delivering tailored fiduciary solutions.
- Prior experience leading teams and driving business growth in a global fiduciary or wealth management environment.
Skills
- Deep understanding of multi-jurisdictional fiduciary laws, estate planning, and wealth preservation strategies.
- Strong knowledge of global compliance requirements, including AML, FATCA, CRS, and Economic Substance regulations.
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and client relationship management skills.
- Highly analytical, with the ability to interpret complex legal documents, financial statements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Proficiency in trust management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
