Summary:
The Industrial Service Technician performs routine service visits at assigned customer accounts. This individual will validate our chemical treatment programs through field testing and inspections. Professional and quality customer service is our priority. The Service Technician will interact with our customer to answer any questions or address any concerns they may have.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Routinely drive to assigned accounts to perform water treatment analysis and inspect equipment.
- Inspect assigned customer systems and document all observations.
- Build customer relationship and interface with facility personnel.
- Escalate any chemistry or equipment issues that may need adjustments or repair.
- Utilize and maintain company vehicle, equipment, and tools in good/clean working condition.
- Consistently calibrate pumps, probes, and sensors. Perform repairs as needed.
- Monitor product feed rates and make necessary adjustments as needed.
- Troubleshooting simple plumbing systems and minor electrical systems.
- Document every service visit via Salesforce and submit to point of contact.
- Assist in related equipment installations or special projects.
- Monitor and manage customer chemical inventories.
- Follows all company and customer health and safety guidelines and policies.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
- Minimum supervision required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact with customers and build relationships.
- Minor plumbing and electrical skills.
- Proficient use of computers and computer programs such as: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Salesforce.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and/or mechanical.
- Possess a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
- Experience in HVAC, water treatment, chemicals, mechanical engineering preferred, not required.
Physical Demands
- Occasionally required to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
- Occasionally required to twist, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach, or grasp, and work in confined spaces as permitted.
- Occasionally required to climb stairs and ladders and work at high elevations for extended periods of time.
- Required to drive both short and long distances.
- Occasionally required to lift 60 pounds and maneuver drums weighing 250-550 pounds using proper lifting and moving strategies.
