Job Description – Outside Sales and Bank Relationship Manager

GENERAL ROLE PURPOSE:
Oversee relationship with Bank Partner and clients they refer. Receive inbound sales calls through MPI sales ques and funnels. Secondarily responsible for ongoing support of bank clients in escalated service and pricing issues.

SUMMARY:
Works with bank partners to establish a program and work toward bank branches referring processing, payroll, gift, and point of sale clients to MPI. Bank Relationship Manager will be responsible for training bank personnel on the product line. They will also set up incentive and tracking programs for bank branches to monitor and encourage growth.

Clients that are referred by the bank will be the responsibility of the Bank Relationship Manager. They will complete the application, set up and train clients and handle any ongoing escalated issues.


Based out of MPI’s sales office with remote work, completing outside sales for bank partners and internal partners. Travel will be required. (company car provided upon request)


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Basic clerical duties including but not limited to filing, faxing, and emailing.
  • Performs word processing, graphics, and spreadsheet functions using various computer software.
  • Answers incoming phone calls and makes outgoing phone calls as requested. Routes incoming mail and telephone calls.
  • Correspondence with bank personnel to obtain information needed for new applications.
  • Basic customer service, including but not limited to logging notes, trouble tickets, facilitating merchant account changes, and providing information to merchants in regards to their accounts.
  • Complete applications and price accounts profitably.
  • Be able to drive to locations for service or sales of accounts. Days may require more than 4 hours of driving.
  • Track and report sales quota on a monthly basis.
  • Track and report bank branch performance on a monthly basis.
  • Communicate bank branch performance to branches and bank management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review and spot check customer/technical service of bank client accounts
  • Identify possible issues with branches that don’t refer


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma. Relevant experience is contingent upon job level.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence using good English grammar and punctuation. Ability to speak English effectively before customers or employees of an organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages .

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Driver's License, U.S. Citizenship.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Required computer skills include: Proficient in MICROSOFT OFFICE applications for word processing, graphics, and spreadsheets. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision required.
