What are the responsibilities and job description for the Extra-Help Student Intern position at Merced County?
The Extra Help Student Intern will provide general assistance while gaining valuable work experience. Assignments will vary depending on the needs of the department.
Hours for this position will be flexible including evenings and weekends to attend community events.
The current openings are at the Human Services Agency for the Children's Services Department.
The current positions will require experience working with foster youth, clerical experience, scheduling, telephone skills, copying, filing, document scanning and transporting youth.
Desirable Experience:
- Knowledge and/or experience with/of child welfare services or working with children.
- Experience facility training groups or delivering presentations.
Individuals who are, or have been, a dependent child in foster care, a homeless youth, or a formerly incarcerated youth as defined by Government Code section 31000.11 are encouraged to apply and will be given priority.
