Job Summary
In this position, an individual will work under limited supervision. Technicians are tasked with repairing the most challenging and time-sensitive problems that vehicles have when they arrive at the service department. Master Technicians spend much of their time diagnosing and repairing unusual problems. Our Technicians use a variety of computerized systems to complete their work.

Essential Duties
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
- Inspect and test-driving new vehicles to ensure the vehicles run smoothly & safely
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisors and all necessary parties to ensure that customers are provide with exceptional customer service
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems and components
- Ensure quality customer service through professionalism and timely responses
- Complete required MB and dealership training
- Install equipment as specified by the customer or the company
- Assist and mentor junior technicians when needed
- Use shop supplies and materials in a practical and economical manner
- Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers
- Maintain professional and clean workspace
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of prior experience as a technician; Mercedes-Benz experience (preferred)
- Customer service experience
- Valid driver’s license; must be insurable
- Drug and background screen
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Must be flexible & a team player
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- STAR or Master Certified Mercedes-Benz (preferred)
- Certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) (preferred)
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Constantly moving; walking, bending, stooping, and standing
- Exert force to move/manipulate objects (up to 50lbs occasionally, 30lbs frequently, 10lbs constantly)
- Constantly operating tools and equipment
- Work is conducted inside, outside, and in a shop environment in proximity to moving vehicles
- Exposure to chemicals and moderate to loud noise levels
