Description
As a Parts Counter Person (Wholesale), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our parts department. Your primary responsibility is to provide exceptional customer service and sales support to wholesale clients, including independent repair shops, body shops, and other dealerships. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive parts, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain lasting customer relationships.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale customers.
- Process parts orders accurately and efficiently.
- Identify and locate parts quickly and accurately.
- Provide technical assistance and advice to customers.
- Prepare and present quotes.
- Manage returns and warranty claims.
- Follow up with customers on orders and inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Stay up-to-date on new products and industry trends.
- Collaborate with team members.
- Adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in automotive parts or related field.
- Skills:
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills, including knowledge of inventory management systems.
- Valid driver's license (may be required for deliveries or other duties).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy parts.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, and kneel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
