Job Overview:
The Quality Management Campaign Rework technician is responsible for processing recall campaigns for vehicles that are still accessible to the plant. All work procedures are processed here that correspond to the campaign classes Prio 1, Prio 2 or Prio 3 and must be carried out before vehicle delivery.
Responsibilities:
Install/replace complete major assemblies e.g. according to drawing or work instructions (specific or from WIS). Carry out wiring/piping according to function diagram. Perform tests such as leak tests.
Perform rework on overall vehicles. Perform fault analyzes. Document fault. Remove and reinstall defective parts, assemblies, major assemblies, etc. Initiate remedial action. Select measurement and test equipment; Perform function tests.
Creation of processing documentation such as recording component serial numbers (removed, installed), operation steps and independent acknowledgment and documentation of operation steps (either on vehicle accompanying card or in systems).
Carrying out methodical qualification measures. Train employees, e.g. for new launches or cross-site recall campaigns, e.g. fill in multiplier/sponsor function.
Testing of vehicle functions after completion of the work carried out, including engine control, brakes, steering, light systems and electronics. Ensure that all systems operate correctly and that there are no faults or malfunctions. Use of diagnostic devices to read out and rectify electronic faults.
If necessary, carrying out test drives on a test track to evaluate the vehicle under real conditions. Assessment of driving performance, steering ability, noise development, vibrations and stability. Identification of potential problems that could occur during vehicle operation.
Use of diagnostic tools and software to check electronic control units and systems for faults. Analysis of fault codes and implementation of necessary corrective actions or documentation of problems for rework.
Support assembly during series introduction/support. Create corresponding documentation (e.g. work instructions, specification documents).
Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings.
Will perform other duties as assigned

Qualifikationen
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years relevant experience in the field of vehicle rework, vehicle technology or similar positions.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electronics, hydraulics, mechanical systems, and quality methods and concepts.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing.
- Understanding of quality management systems, employing manufacturing quality methods
- Ability to analyze and correct errors: Knowledge of systematic error analysis and trouble shooting to quickly identify problems and propose solutions.
