Performs as the school's chief executive person and serves as the leadership for an effectively operated school. Performs as an evaluator to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the school program and school staff. Takes appropriate action to correct deficiencies and to monitor changes. Provides for short and long range planning. Develops effective staffing procedures and provides sound financial management. Initiates and participates in an effective community relations programs. Provides for an ongoing review and evaluation of the schools curriculum and programs. Develops and monitors the school's improvement plan. Involves staff in aligning the Kentucky Core Content. Involves staff in monitoring and attaining NCLB goals. Involves staff in decision making and evaluation. Keeps all members of the school staff informed concerning school and system business, educational plans and goals.
