Associate Part-Time Counsel
Open to:
Attorneys admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey who meet the criteria below
Education:
Possess of a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
Experience
Responsibilities include representing the Agency in Hearing Officer and Superior Court Child Support hearings, including UIFSA matters; Administrative Law Judge proceedings involving Medicaid, SNAP, TANF and other assistance programs; and in Special Civil Part collection actions; addressing EEOC and NJDCR complaints; Guardianships; handling employers’ personnel and human resources functions such as workplace investigations and disciplinary actions; OPRA requests; and Contract review. Excellent analytical, writing and communication skills are essential. Must be able to work independently and within a dynamic team atmosphere.
NOTE: This is a part-time position. Punctual and regular in-person attendance is an essential function. This position is also excluded from the Collective Bargaining Agreements between the Mercer County Board of Social Services and Administrative Clerical, Fiscal and Maintenance Employees Union Locals 3390 and 2285.
