The Fire Academy Duty Officer, a part-time position with Mercer County Community College, is responsible for duties as assigned and the customer service, safety and security of the Fire Academy and the training grounds during an assigned tour of duty.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Greet and assist any visitors to the facility.
- Assist any organizations or customers utilizing the facility.
- Answer Fire Academy telephone, take messages or give assistance (as necessary).
- Provide assistance to Fire Academy Instructors to include AV equipment set-up, distribution and collection of student evaluations, etc.
- Secure the classrooms, return, inspect and secure any equipment used. Also inspects and secures the Fire Academy building and training grounds at the conclusion of activities.
- Submit reports and make notifications as required.
- Perform apparatus & pump operator duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
- NJ Certified Firefighter 1.
- NJ Haz Mat Ops & Awareness.
- 3 Years experience as a firefighter or EMT.
- Certified NJ Certified EMT-B.
- Health Care Provider CPR Certification.
- Pump operator experience.
