Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency calls from the public and other agencies.
- Transcribe information accurately and relay it to appropriate emergency response teams.
- Utilize phone systems to manage incoming calls efficiently while maintaining professionalism.
- Perform phone triage to assess the urgency of situations and determine appropriate responses.
- Communicate effectively with callers, providing reassurance and guidance as needed.
- Type detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of all communications.
- Utilize GPS technology to assist in locating incidents and directing responders.
- Employ GIS tools for mapping incidents and resource allocation.
- Manage conflicts that may arise during calls, ensuring a calm resolution while maintaining focus on the emergency at hand.
