What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education (Low Incidence) Supervisor position at Mercer County Educational Service Center (ESC)?
Full Time - Special Education (Low Incidence) Supervisor
204 Day Contract - 2025-2026 School Year
Essential duties include:
Provide leadership to plan, develop, coordinate and evaluate special education curriculum and instruction for MCESC programs for Grades K-age 22. Classrooms are located throughout the county. The supervisor will also assist in the on-going development and improvement of Low Incidence special education programs; assist the superintendent in working with the board, administrative team, staff, parents, community groups and professional organizations; implement and maintain excellent special educational programs.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Graduate or professional degree (masters or above) from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 3 years administrative or coordination experience over academic programs.
- Alternative to the above qualifications as superintendent and/or board of education may be appropriate.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Appropriate State of Ohio Supervision/Administrative license as required by the Ohio Department of Education and OTES certification
