The Mercer County Educational Service Center is seeking full and part-time Speech Language Pathologists for the 2025-2026 school year
Start Date: August 1, 2025
Location(s): Parkway Local Schools, Lincolnview Local Schools, ESC classrooms
Salary as per schedule
Education and/or Experience:
• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university
• Valid Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board License in Speech Language Pathology
• Valid Ohio Department of Education Pupil Services License/Registration
• Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- work, communicate, and collaborate effectively with staff and families as part of a team
-ability to provide high quality direct speech-language therapy services to a wide variety of students in both the classroom and therapy room settings
-demonstrate knowledge of normal communication development, speech/language disorders, and educational impact of disorders
-strong organizational and time management skills (meets timelines for evaluations and IEP’s, provides services to all students, prepares effectively, maintains accurate records, etc.)
-complies with all Federal, State, and Local mandates as they apply to students with disabilities
-demonstrates flexibility and responsiveness to student needs and services
-seeks professional development and shares information with others
-completes other duties as assigned according to policies, rules, and regulations of the Mercer County Educational Service Center Governing Board and the Ohio Department of Education/Office of Exceptional Children
-knowledge and experience with students with autism and multiple disabilities and the use of augmentative communication/visual supports is a plus
