Description:
To assist in the administration of the district’s business office affairs and performs the duties necessary for the orderly maintenance and processing of the financial transactions of the school district. To provide discretion, and confidentiality, using independent judgment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, minimum of three (3) years’ experience in bookkeeping or related types of work
- Experience in purchasing, accounts payable, GAAP procedures and an understanding of journal and ledger entries
- Experience with Systems 3000, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and Google Suite.
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
- Must be team-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be willing to participate in ongoing in-service training as requested.
- Must maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information as required by law.
- This position requires the medical and physical capacity to perform the major responsibilities.
Required criminal history background check and proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status
Must be NJ resident within one year from date of hire
