Basic Qualifications
Education/Training: None required.
Skill(s): Basic reading and writing skills; ability to lift objects weighing 50 lbs.; visual and auditory skills; valid driver's license.
Experience: None required.
General Responsibilities
Responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the maintenance function; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information.
Essential Duties
1. Performs a variety of duties to support the maintenance function of which the following are illustrative:
a. Maintains equipment, i.e., replaces light fixtures and light bulbs; repairs all fixtures.
b. Cleans areas outside buildings.
c. Cleans exterior grounds and parking lots of debris as necessary; trims shrubbery, maintains landscaped areas.
d. Delivers or picks up various parts or items for maintenance repairs as directed.
e. Performs minor paint jobs as needed.
f. Transports boxes, supplies or miscellaneous items from one office to another.
g. May act as a liaison for communication with third party contractors or vendors that may be performing work at various locations.
h. Performs preventative maintenance to MCSB buildings, property and equipment.
i. Perform drilling of lock boxes when directed.
