Position Description
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Rolling Stock Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy-duty equipment and machinery, including forklifts, loaders, and delivery trucks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with experience in a manufacturing environment. This position will also support the facilities team during downtime to assist in snow removal and landscaping. This position is located on-site at our facility in Spokane, WA.

Position Description

Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel engines in a variety of heavy equipment, including:
- Forklifts (various sizes and fuel types)
- Loaders (front-end loaders, skid steers)
- Delivery trucks (semi-trucks, box trucks)
- Other manufacturing equipment as needed
- Diagnose engine malfunctions and perform necessary repairs, including:
- Troubleshooting fuel systems, cooling systems, and electrical systems
- Replacing worn or damaged parts, such as pistons, rings, and bearings
- Performing engine overhauls as required
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Certified Diesel Mechanic with 3 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine operation and repair procedures
- Experience with hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and welding is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- The pay scale for this position is $28.00 – $32.00 USD per hour. Your wage will be commensurate with your education and experience.
