General Laborer

Mercer Landmark is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborer to join our team at our Coldwater Agronomy location. This position involves performing various manual labor tasks that support the daily operations of the agronomy facility. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, able to work in all weather conditions, and contribute positively to the team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the loading and unloading of bulk agricultural products (fertilizers, seeds, chemicals, etc.).
• Handle, transport, and store materials according to safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the worksite, including indoor and outdoor areas.
• Operate and maintain basic equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, and other machinery (training may be provided).
• Support the preparation and distribution of products, including mixing and packaging of chemicals and fertilizers.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed.
• Assist with inventory management by counting and tracking product stock.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Work with agronomy specialists and other team members to fulfill customer orders.
• Assist with other general labor tasks as directed by supervisors or management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in an agronomy or farm-related setting is a plus, but not required.
• Basic understanding of agricultural products and safety protocols is preferred.
• Ability to operate basic machinery and equipment (training can be provided).
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Valid CDL driver’s license (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work in outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
• Perform repetitive tasks and follow instructions in a fast-paced environment.
