We are seeking an Agent Relations Representative to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with our nationwide agent network. This role is critical in aligning agents with corporate objectives, ensuring operational success, and fostering agent engagement. Job duties often include:
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with Mercer’s agents across the U.S.
- Serving as the primary liaison between Mercer Corporate and agents to ensure effective communication of corporate initiatives.
- Advocating for agents by addressing challenges and connecting them with the appropriate internal stakeholders for support.
- Traveling (up to 50%) to agent offices to foster connections, provide support, and conduct business meetings.
- Identifying opportunities for operational improvements and providing actionable feedback to leadership.
- Demonstrating a thorough understanding of the billing process, brokerage operations, and agents' role in Mercer's success.
- Providing ongoing support and training to agents to align them with Mercer’s goals.
- Collaborating with leadership to identify and implement strategies for agent performance improvement.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, freight, or trucking operations, with knowledge of brokerage and agent-related processes.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information effectively.
- Problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
