We are seeking a skilled Building and Maintenance Coordinator to join our Facilities team and help ensure the smooth operation of our buildings and equipment. Additionally, provide comprehensive support to the entire campus to ensure full operational efficiency and high employee satisfaction.
Job duties often include:
- Performing repairs and maintenance on equipment, office furniture, and building amenities.
- Maintaining the exterior of company properties, including snow removal as needed.
- Conducting routine inspections of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other building systems.
- Use hand tools and perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical work.
- Ensuring a safe and operational work environment by following preventative maintenance schedules.
- Collaborating with team members and respond promptly to maintenance requests.
- Performing other duties as required.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or repair work.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring, HVAC systems, or warehouse operations a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
Essential Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Ability to maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include: Performing physical activities that require considerable use of body strength, sitting, standing, climbing stairs, or walking for extended periods of time; operating tools and office equipment; and lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Visual Acuity; ability to see and hear within normal parameters, must use hands and fingers to use keyboard and mouse when required by essential functions of position; operate equipment or controls; reach above shoulder heights, below the waist; or lift to perform the essential functions of the job throughout the work day. Proper lifting techniques required.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise in the work environment may exceed moderate levels.
