Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm
As a Truck Settlement Specialist, you will be responsible for providing accurate pay settlements to contracted permanent trucks and trucks leased to Mercer. You will handle incoming calls from drivers, perform data entry tasks, process settlements, and resolve discrepancies, ensuring smooth financial operations.
Essential Job Functions
- Driver Communication: Manage a high volume of incoming calls from drivers.
- Data Management: Accurately and efficiently perform data entry tasks while handling call inquiries.
- Settlement Processing: Ensure the accuracy of truck pay settlements and expedite disbursement mail in accordance with company guidelines.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies by conducting thorough research to identify root causes.
- Payment Inquiries: Respond promptly and professionally to driver inquiries regarding payment status and disposition.
- Fuel Card Assistance: Provide guidance and assistance to drivers regarding fuel card inquiries.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain organized records by accurately filing terminated driver information.
- Receivable Processing: Process receivables when a driver has been overpaid.
Essential Skills and Experience

- Knowledge of accounting systems and procedures.

- Proficiency in data entry and office software applications.

Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent.
