Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations with a robust background in custom apparel manufacturing to oversee our operational processes. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of multiple production methods, including embroidery, Direct to Film (DTF), sublimation, and Direct to Garment (DTG) printing. The ideal candidate will have an accounting background for precise job pricing and financial oversight and must be bilingual in English and Spanish for effective communication with our diverse team and clientele. Additionally, experience in running e-commerce brands built on Shopify is essential for driving online operations and sales. The candidate should be sales-focused and capable of building key performance indicators (KPIs) for teams across manufacturing, sales, and technology to ensure alignment with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations within the custom apparel manufacturing facility.
- Manage production queues to ensure timely fulfillment of jobs across various production methods (embroidery, DTF, sublimation, DTG).
- Workflow Development:
- Create and implement managed workflows that enhance efficiency and are easy for the team to execute.
- Continuously assess workflows for improvement opportunities to streamline operations.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the production team while collaborating closely with the plant manager.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and drive performance across manufacturing operations.
- E-Commerce Operations:
- Manage and optimize e-commerce operations built on the Shopify platform, ensuring a seamless customer experience from order placement to fulfillment.
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to drive online sales and enhance brand presence.
- Sales Focus and KPI Development:
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) for teams in manufacturing, sales, and technology to track performance and align with company goals.
- Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and drive sales growth.
- Supply Chain Coordination:
- Coordinate with suppliers and manage inventory to ensure a smooth supply chain.
- Optimize processes to reduce lead times and costs while maintaining product quality.
- Sales Support:
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and support the handing off of jobs for timely processing and fulfillment.
- Provide insights from production to assist in pricing strategies and customer communications.
- Financial Oversight:
- Utilize accounting expertise to analyze production costs, manage budgets, and implement pricing strategies for various production methods.
- Maintain detailed records to support financial reporting and operational efficiency.
- Bilingual Communication:
- Facilitate effective communication among team members, stakeholders, and clients in both English and Spanish.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 of experience in operations management within the custom apparel manufacturing sector.
- Extensive experience managing multiple production methods: embroidery, DTF, sublimation, and DTG.
- Proven experience in running e-commerce brands, specifically on the Shopify platform.
- Proven track record of sales-oriented thinking and developing KPIs for manufacturing, sales, and technology teams.
- Proven track record of managing diverse teams and leading successful operational initiatives.
- Excellent analytical skills with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.

Pay: $88,482.00 - $98,455.00 per year
