The Night Auditor at Hampton Inn & Suites is responsible for overseeing all hotel operations during the overnight shift, ensuring that guests are checked in and out efficiently and that the hotel’s financial transactions are accurately recorded. This position requires exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently during late hours. The Night Auditor also ensures the hotel is secure and maintains a peaceful, welcoming environment for all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Services:
- Provide outstanding customer service to all hotel guests.
- Check-in and check-out guests in a professional, friendly, and timely manner.
- Assist guests with any inquiries, requests, or concerns, resolving issues efficiently.
- Ensure all guest services are provided according to Hampton Inn & Suites standards.
Night Audit:
- Perform nightly audit of hotel’s financial transactions, including verifying room rates, charges, and processing payments.
- Reconcile the front desk system to the hotel’s accounting system.
- Complete necessary reports, including daily revenue, night audit reports, and account reconciliations.
- Review all guest accounts for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
Security and Safety:
- Monitor hotel security systems and ensure that all security protocols are followed.
- Respond to any emergencies or incidents as they arise, ensuring guest and staff safety.
- Perform routine checks of hotel facilities to ensure they are clean, secure, and in good working order.
Administrative Duties:
- Ensure all shift documentation and reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Communicate any issues, maintenance needs, or guest feedback to the appropriate departments.
- Assist with special projects or other tasks as needed by hotel management.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Experience in front desk operations within a hotel environment
- Proficiency in handling multi-line phone systems
- Knowledge of night audit procedures and hotel management
- Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages is a plus
- Familiarity with hospitality management and guest relations practices
