MWP was launched in 2017 by a collection of executives with deep domain expertise in wealth management & financial services stemming from Apollo, Goldman Sachs, United Capital, Skybridge Capital, Focus Financial, Dynasty Financial Partners, and Purshe Kaplan Sterling Investments . The business has scaled to ~100 equity investments and ~$200B assets in ecosystem. Today, its RIA partners span 42 states and 6 countries. MWP has built a platform, brand, and ecosystem to facilitate growth and maximize value for its partners throughout their lifecycle.
MWP is seeking a highly analytical and motivated individual to join as an Associate. The successful candidate will both underwrite new equity investment opportunities and participate in corporate strategy work-streams. The new hire will join a lean team of experienced investors with an impressive track record at a time of significant growth for the firm. The successful candidate will report to the investment principals and will collaborate directly with all members of the team, including senior leadership.
The opportunity is based in New York City with an expectation of a partial in office requirement.
Responsibilities
- Direct involvement in all aspects of investment process including underwriting, modeling, investment memo drafting and ultimate execution of new opportunities
- Perform ongoing maintenance of existing investments
- Analyze and synthesize data supplied by portfolio and partner companies
- Modeling and presenting of corporate strategy initiatives, including but not limited to new business verticals and capital raising initiatives
