Regional Vice President
Merchants Insurance Group, a leading Property and Casualty Insurer in the Northeast, seeks an experienced Regional Vice President for our Eastern Strategic Business Center located in Melville, New York.
The successful candidate will be a member of the Regional and Corporate Leadership Team, responsible for leading, directing and achieving assigned goals for the Eastern Regional office. This position interacts extensively with internal colleagues, Company leadership, and our Independent Agency Partners.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve targeted Profit and Sales results through effective management of agents, risk selection, risk pricing, terms and conditions.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions, including new business, renewals, endorsements, audits and cancellations.
- Provide excellent customer experiences to our agents on a consistent basis.
- Implement Agency Management initiatives and strategic plans to achieve premium and profit objectives.
- Meet or exceed premium growth objectives in the target lines of business and classes of risk.
- Achieve regional loss ratio and production goals for commercial lines of business.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required, Professional Insurance Education (CPCU) or advanced education (MBA) desired.
- Minimum of 10 years of Property & Casualty insurance operations experience, including sales and underwriting experience.
- Prior management experience with the ability to mentor and develop a staff of insurance professionals.
- Extensive commercial product knowledge, ability to contribute to product development.
- Thorough Knowledge and experience with Independent Agents and products in the Property & Casualty industry.
Merchants Insurance Group offers a competitive pay scale, ranging from $185,000 - $245,000, based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
