Janitorial Associate

POSITION   SUMMARY:

The janitorial worker position is responsible for providing general plant cleanup. Additionally, the janitorial worker ensures that the facility is neat, clean, clutter free and safe. The janitorial worker must maintain a safe and clean working area, report any unsafe conditions and observe all safety rules, policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL  JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Shovels/Sweep around equipment.
• Remove trash from work areas in manufacturing plant, break rooms and restrooms
• Keeps aisle ways clean and clear of debris.
• Follow established safety procedures when performing tasks and/or working with equipment.
• Maintains the lawn.
• Perform other related duties as assigned. 
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Prior experience in janitorial services in a manufacturing facility.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

The employee is frequently required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
