About the Role:
The Security Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all personnel and visitors at our facility in Metairie, LA. This position involves monitoring premises, conducting regular patrols, and ensuring compliance with security protocols to prevent unauthorized access and incidents. The Security Officer will also be responsible for responding to emergencies, providing assistance during incidents, and documenting any occurrences in a detailed manner. Effective communication and collaboration with law enforcement and emergency services are essential to ensure a swift response to any security threats. Ultimately, the Security Officer's efforts contribute to a safe atmosphere that fosters productivity and peace of mind for everyone on site.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid security guard license or certification as required by state regulations.
- Basic knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a security role or law enforcement.
- Certification in first aid and CPR.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems and access control technology.
Responsibilities:
