You will be working directly with developers and analysts responsible for delivering products and services on multiple platforms to internal and external customers.

Merchants offers its colleagues a Hybrid work schedule. The Hybrid work schedule requires 8 full days per month in the office, with the option to work the remaining days at home or in the office. Projects may include:
- Software development activities with the supervision of an experienced developer.
- Leveraging .NET based Software Development and System Integration Tools.
- Assist in reviewing business requirements and creating technical specifications.
- Analyze data, evaluate technology, and recommend solutions as assigned.
- Research projects in the area of DevOps, AI, or other guided technical research.
- Help create or improve technical documentation. This includes ongoing efforts around an Enterprise Architecture Framework.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Candidates should be pursuing a related IT degree or career and have practical or theoretical coding experience.
- An interest in pursuing a career with a property and casualty insurance company is desired.
- Full-time, paid internship starting May 2025 through August 2025 based on school schedule. A minimum commitment of 2-3 months is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as a team in a hybrid work environment
- Has a willingness to take on a diverse set of projects and deliver high quality work
Merchants Insurance Group Pay information:
Merchants Insurance Group offers a competitive pay scale. The actual compensation will be determined based upon experience and other factors permitted by law. The pay range for this position is $17.00 an hour.
