Merchants Insurance Group is a leading Property and Casualty Insurer in the Northeast and is looking for a Workflow & ETL Developer to join our Information Technology team located in Buffalo, New York.

The Workflow & ETL Developer will support and administer ImageRight, our document management and workflow system, and manage ETL(Extract, Transform, Load) process to ensure smooth data integration and workflow optimization.  This role involves troubleshooting workflows, writing and optimizing SQL queries, collaborating with business teams to enhance business processes, and ensuring seamless data exchange with third-party vendors or systems.  Responsibilities also include working on importing data into ImageRight to streamline operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Develop and maintain the technical infrastructure required for ImageRight, including designing and maintaining a new workflow. Ability to Extract Data and report to third-party services.
• Perform unit testing on changes and follow the Change Management process for implementation.
• Prepare Technical Specification documentation before the beginning of development and complete technical documentation for all assigned development initiatives. Review approaches for compliance with technical architecture standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor or Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Up to 1-year practical IT experience.
• Up to 1 year experience in SQL and VB preferred.
• The ability and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Prior experience with ImageRight systems is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Merchants Insurance Group Pay information:

Merchants Insurance Group offers a competitive pay scale.  The actual compensation will be determined based upon experience and other factors permitted by law.  The initial pay range for this position is $53,700 - $71,500.
