Your Role :
At MilliporeSigma, the Maintenance Electrician Technician 2 is responsible for performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting of electrical supply, distribution systems up to 4160V, motors, motor controls, VFDs, backup generators, UPSs, instrumentation, PLCs, and DCSs.
Responsibilities :
- Perform maintenance activities including troubleshooting, repair, and preventative and predictive maintenance to increase equipment reliability to maintain safe, efficient, and reliable equipment operation
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in the engineering, operation, and maintenance stages of the equipment lifecycle
- Develop and manage maintenance plans to help eliminate equipment failures and increase overall reliability
- Oversee outside contractors and other technicians to support electrical equipment
- Manage the technical documentation on equipment throughout all lifecycle stages, including equipment design basis, technical drawings, and maintenance procedures
- Mentor, coach, and oversee other electrical technicians to advance their development
- Document work performed on equipment in both electronic and written form and comply with code and quality requirements, including NFPA and Good Documentation Practices
- Provide assistance during utility outage emergencies
- Utilize SAP for work management
- This position may include weekend and holiday on call and after-hours duty on a variety of all shifts
