Your Role

The Supplier Qualification Senior Specialist is responsible for evaluating and qualifying suppliers to ensure they meet the company's standards for quality, reliability, and compliance. This role involves conducting assessments, audits, and ongoing evaluations of supplier performance to support the procurement and supply chain functions. The applicant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all supplier-related processes align with MilliporeSigma's strategic goals.

Who You Are :

  • Conduct supplier assessments and audits to evaluate compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain supplier qualification criteria and processes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities
  • Monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Prepare and present reports on supplier qualification status and performance metrics
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to supplier qualifications and audits.
  • Act as a point of contact for suppliers regarding qualification processes and requirements
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to supplier management and qualification

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or other Life Science discipline
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 years of experience in life science manufacturing
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • 3 years of knowledge and experience in Quality Management Systems, ICH Quality Standards, and other regulatory standards as appropriate. (FDA, VDA, DOT, IATA, DEA, etc.)
  • Previous experience hosting and performing internal and external audits
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Knowledge of SAP, TrackWise, Veeva, EDMS, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing documentation to ensure compliance with company or customer quality requirements
  • Ability to increase efficiencies in the continuous improvement of the quality management system
