Your Role

The Senior Design Project Manager is responsible for the successful management and execution of new customer facing projects, focused on custom Cell Culture Media and Sterile Liquid products for the launch of a new manufacturing site in South Korea (SKOR) . These projects require the ability to deliver a complex and integrated solution to the customer which is tailored to their qualification needs. The Senior Design Project Manager, in collaboration with commercial colleagues, Design Engineers and the customer, leads the definition of the project requirements and delivers project proposals including qualification activities, product requirements, pricing, and the estimated delivery timeline for their first demand. Senior Design Project Managers lead the internal teams to leverage our expertise to design customer solutions that are suitable for the site and business unit as well as the customer – collaborating extensively with the Global Strategic Accounts organization to build a comprehensive plan for movement of product demand from EU/US to the South Korea site.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced knowledge of project management and process improvement techniques
  • Understand and show ability to utilize cross functional interdependencies to drive project success.
  • Knowledge of CCM capabilities and relevant business strategy including relevant quality systems and GMP processes
  • Strong knowledge of sterile liquid and dry powder media manufacturing, packaging, and testing processes.
  • Ability to use and apply financial and business principles.
  • Advanced understanding software tools such as MS Office Suite, MRP systems, and project management software
  • Demonstrated effective collaboration skills with internal teams, commercial colleagues, and customers. Proven ability to establish rapport with all parts of the company.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal skills, including the ability to give presentations and to speak to large groups. This includes the ability to clearly communicate project status to relevant stakeholders to ensure awareness of timelines, activities, and priorities.
  • Highly developed and demonstrated ability to adapt communication style to the current audience.
  • Be open to and solicit feedback, different opinions and ideas and use the input to deliver consistent project execution and escalate your personal performance.

  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks. Must be able to excel under pressure and create a motivated environment to support success in less senior project teams and design team members.

Exceptional attention to detail and a proven ability to collate data into a presentable format for project decisions.

  • Able to verbalize challenges and recover from setbacks in a way to be part of the solution.
  • Business travel requirement, including international to other sites and / or customer visits.
  • Compliance with facility access control procedure and the wearing of PPE at manufacturing sites.
  • Some manual handling duties at the manufacturing site.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Employee must have a BA/BS in Chemistry, Biological sciences, Business, or related field.
  • 5 years project management experience involving successful management of projects, resources, timelines, budgets and coordinating between functional groups


Preferred Quaifications

Advanced degree in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, or Business discipline Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2, etc.) desirable but not required

3 years industrial experience in custom pharmaceutical, biotech or fine chemical industry. Understanding of bio pharmaceutical applications and customer processes

Pay Range for this position: $114,100-$171,100

Our ranges are derived from several sources, and largely reliant on relevant industry market data. Should we decide to make an offer, we will consider several factors, including but not limited to your location, skills, experience, career level, and other job-related factors. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; paid time off; and paid holidays; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses.
